Teachers using ICT's to better understand climate change

Posted by Gift Richard Maloya in Untagged

Having fun with teachers from Kasungu, Malawi through the Make the link climate exchange project, helping them better understand the climate change, how they can find recourses, interacting with their peers through the use of the internet and building their computer skills. Teachers need to be well equipped with ITC skills as they are facilitators at local level – they can help communities and  students better understand climate change adaptation, mitigation and prevention. Teachers also had the opportunity to register their schools with the British Council school partnership on climate change.

They are maintaining their eco-garden, and have plans to expand it with new plants to increase the biodiversity of the space.

Actually you could say that he was an "old warhorse is', he has spent over 30 years working environment, sustainability and development. He has also done a lot of different things. You now have the opportunity to give him the shirt of the body to ask. Maybe you want to know whether, in those over 30 years much has changed, why it is so important or what he takes the climate negotiations.

Looking for ways to introduce climate change topics to your school? How about a climate change dropdown day?!...

Posted by Jessica Douthwaite in Untagged

A dropdown day is an off timetable day, when students follow a particular theme throughout the day during planned activities and lessons. So a climate change dropdown day is a day when students focus their energies on climate change topics through activities that they don’t usually follow in lesson.
