Young campaigner gets his energy saving idea recognised!

Speaking of her students’ campaign to change UK policy on energy-saving, Heidi Leaves, a teacher at Miltoncross School, says:

“We have had our first response from an MP.  Joshua has been proudly showing everyone his commons headed notepaper, and there is a promise to speak to the Energy Secretary and let Joshua know the outcome of that. It sounds as though the request to switch off the lights of Portsmouth landmarks at night could be something that may be considered nationally - so exciting for our group.”

This is a great idea - and could link in with the lighter later idea where it would mean we use less energy as things like street lights would be used less

I think it would be great to see an end to office buildings with their lights on all night - especially in london

This is very impressive and what a great idea! I'm also curious whether you'll get a follow-up!
